Martin Gallagher is a corporate & private security specialist & qualified instructor (PTLLS Level 4) with proven experience in close protection, security, resiliency, physical risk and crisis management issues in the European & Emerging Market theatres.
Martin is a former Royal Marine Commando (Counter Terrorist Team MATICO) with experience and a solid background in the civilian sector gained in over 38 years of his career operating globally in the security and investigations industries in the USA, EMEA and Asia Pacific theatres including hostile environments such as Iraq.
Martin was the principal close protection officer for Europe and Emerging Markets at Cisco. He was a security advisor to members of the British and foreign royal families, diplomats, blue-chip companies, CEOs & celebrities.
Whilst head of EU & EM Safety, Security & Business Resiliency (SSBR) operations at Cisco he won the trust and confidence of Cisco’s EU & EM senior executives. Martin built the Emerging Markets security program from the ground up and developed Cisco’s Threat Impact Assessment (TIA) tool, which was accepted and utilised on a global basis across the company and was integral in building Cisco’s crisis management and resiliency program.
Martin has developed an expertise in managing security issues in a dynamic atmosphere of uncertainty and change, working across cultures and responding to the sensitivities, local customs & laws relative to security and business issues.
Martin has recently been elected to the Board of Directors of Uxbridge Masonic Halls Ltd as Health & Safety Director where he is responsible for the health and safety of the building, which services 40 local and provincial lodges.
